THE CONFIRMATION PROCESS

Each report will be provided a credibility scoring based on the level of evidence available to confirm an observation.

 

Confirmation involves:

Reviewing trail camera photos

Identifying tracks

Killsite-investigations

Collecting a cougar carcass

Sending genetic samples to a lab.

 

 

Credibility scoring:

Confirmed

Probable

Unknown

Unlikely

Not a cougar
